- Wide range of bright and vibrant colours

- Long lasting, solid colour lasting up to twice as long as other conventional one part yacht enamels

International Toplac Yacht Enamel Application

Previously Painted Surfaces:

Good Condition:  Wash down with International Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and leave to dry completely.

Poor Condition: Ensure you remove all previous coatings and prime.

Bare wood: Prime with Yacht primer or UCP

Steel: Prime with Yacht Primer or Interprotect

Aluminium: Prime with either Yacht Primer or Interprotect

GRP: Use Super Cleaner to wash down and proceed to rinsing with fresh water and allow to dry. Rub down with 180-220 grade paper.

Aged / Weathered Gelcoats: Weathered gelcoat is more susceptible to damage as a result of solvent/moisture entrapment after painting.  This could lead to blistering of the paint film.  To prevent this three coats of Interprotect should be applied to seal the gelcoat.  The Interprotect must be overcoated with a polyurethane basecoat before you proceed to apply the Toplac.

For ALL SUBSTRATES: Use Pre-Kote undercoat.

Smooth the undercoat using 320-400 grade (grit) wet or dry sand paper.  Use a dust wipe to remove any dust and apply 1-2 coats.

Mixing: For optimum results stir well before you begin to use Toplac.

Thinner: Thinner No.1

Thinning: To ease application in warm or windy conditions, add up to 10% of thinners.

Cleaner: Use Thinner No.1

Number of coats: 1-2 by brush with a 12.00(m²/lt), or 8(m²/lt) by spray.

Coverage: 9 square metres / 750 mls
